What is S&P

The official UK Government global security event.

Security & Policing is the only UK event of its kind to receive official Home Office accreditation. Held each March at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, it convenes the UK security community — policing, government departments, intelligence, military, critical national infrastructure operators and industry — inside a unique, closed and vetted environment.

Over three days, more than 400 world-class suppliers exhibit alongside live immersive experiences, a high-level speaker programme and dedicated zones for innovation, international engagement and ministerial dialogue. Attendance is by Home Office approval only, enabling open and trusted conversations that are not possible at any other security event.

Impact on the sector

Powering the UK security and resilience economy.

In 2025 the UK security and resilience sector reported £27.6bn in turnover and £14.5bn in value add to the UK economy. S&P plays a central role in connecting that sector with government buyers and international markets.

Case study

Vietnamese delegation

Home Office International Operations (HOIO) secured a senior Vietnamese delegation led by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security — the first time a Vietnamese Minister has attended S&P.

The delegation met Policing Minister Sarah Jones MP and Shaun Hipgrave, Director National Security Protect and Prepare, with bespoke site visits to HMP Norwich and a London Fire Brigade station. Vietnamese attendance directly facilitated the signing of a multimillion pound export contract with a UK company.

The Immersive Experience — City Watch

Hosted by ADS and JSaRC, the Live Immersive Experience places participants inside an evolving security scenario — making operational decisions under pressure as new intelligence arrives, with UK SME technologies applied in realistic contexts alongside government and law enforcement partners.

Watch · City Watch — Immersive Experience 2025

City Watch — the 2025 scenario — put participants at the heart of a fast-moving urban security incident, demonstrating how intelligence, surveillance and frontline response combine to protect the public in a complex city environment.

"Private sector innovation is delivering public sector outcomes; to protect the public and bring criminals to account."
Lord Hanson
